We Did It: $22,000.00 Raised!

What A feeling! the hike was a LOT harder that we all anticipated, the truth is, we were in way over our heads as the level of difficulty was beyond the level of us first time amateurs. The Tuckerman trail up to the Hermits cabin was relatively easy and safe, beyond this point, the hike was more about rock climbing than hiking.
See Pictures online here:http://picasaweb.google.com/hikehelpheal/NewPicsHHHSept122009#

The hike up took 4 hours and just over 3 hours down. All hikers arrived on time at 8:00 AM fresh and ended around 5:30 exhausted. Congratulations to all and thank you for helping raise $22,000.00

Outstanding!!

Media Update

To all Friends, Sponsors, and Participants.
Please note that Stephanie and I are being interviewed by Tracy McKee from CJAD. The show will be aired on CJAD 800 on Sunday September 6th between Noon and 1:00PM

We are still expecting many Participants to continue to push and raise as much funds as possible for the MTL Children’s Hospital Foundation. Our objective was to raise $10,000 through our inaugural event; however, I am thrilled to advise that we are presently in excess of $15,000.00 thanks in large part to generous donations from our corporate sponsors.

I hope you will tune in to CJAD for our interview and encourage any last minute participants and certainly some extra donations are always welcome

Mt-Washington Climb Benefitting the Montreal Children's Hospital

On September 12th, 2009 Mark and Stephanie Paulin are inviting participants to join us as we Hike Mt-Washington in NH in an effort to raise money for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation.

We wanted to show our support to kids who fight hard everyday and keep a positive spirit about life; and what better way to challenge ourselves by climbing the highest peak in the North east.

There is lots of information to consider, so we invite you to download the following documents on the right side of our blog, or simply contact us.

Who we are

Ok, so this isn't Mt Washington. But it is a picture of us at the base of a mountain. Notice how we look happy and relaxed. That's because we haven't been hiking.

Along with our participants, we look forward to posting our picture after the 3, 4, or 5 hour hike UP Mt-Washington. We might not be so cuddly.

Creation

Today is our first day of the start of a great adventure. We are very happy and exited to embark on this journey. We hope to raise over $10 000 and 100% of all the money will be donated directly to The Montreal Children Hospital. We decided to do this event to give back to our community and help the kids that need support.
Oh, and we have absolutly no hiking experience...
